Lola Picó
Pintora autodidacta
De Barcelona, siempre impulsada por su creatividad, trabajó por muchos años siendo maquillista en moda, publicidad, Tv y cine, en donde se especializó en efectos especiales. Lola vive en México desde hace treinta años, los cuales los ha dedicado por completo a su desarrollo de la creatividad. Realizó diversas exposiciones, en diferentes ciudades, junto con el curador Edgar Mizrahi. Vivió en San Miguel de Allende durante 20 años, lugar en donde tuvo su estudio ShowRoom y fue socia de la Galería de arte "Magenta" . Desde 2022 Lola es representada por la galería de arte 1819 de Madrid www.1819.es.
Actualmente vive en Ajijic, Jalisco, frente al lago de chapala desde donde se inspira y crea sus trabajos.
Sus obras forman parte de colecciones privadas en Estados Unidos, Canadá, Perú, Puerto Rico, España, Argentina, Holanda y México entre otros.
Self-taught painter
She from Barcelona, always driven by her creativity, she worked for many years as a makeup artist in fashion, advertising, TV and film, where she specialized in special effects. Lola, she has lived in Mexico for thirty years, which she has dedicated entirely to the development of her creativity. She held various exhibitions, in different cities, together with the curator Edgar Mizrahi. She lived in San Miguel de Allende for 20 years, where she had her studio ShowRoom and was a member of the "Magenta" Art Gallery. Since 2022 Lola is represented by the 1819 art gallery in Madrid www.1819.es.
She currently lives in Ajijic, Jalisco, in front of Lake Chapala from where she is inspired and creates her work.
Her works are part of private collections in the United States, Canada, Peru, Puerto Rico, Spain, Argentina, the Netherlands and Mexico among others.

El arte de Lola Picò
Profundizar en lo intangible no es tarea fácil. Para abstraerse primero hay que experimentar en la materia para plasmarla con maestría e intención. Lola Picó corresponde en sus lienzos a una traducción del sentir llevada a la superficie de su obra.
Texturas y paleta que se encuentran sobre la sólida base del sentir. Algunos símbolos elegante y sutilmente se introducen en muchas de sus piezas para hablarnos aun más de aquello que se está traduciendo desde el alma.
Sobre su trabajo podemos observar una evolución constante en sus materiales y paletas sin dejar de lado su muy particular acento.
Picó lleva su instinto artístico desarrollado por años de experiencia ahora con grandes resultados en su carrera con invitaciones a presentaciones internacionales.
La alquímica plástica de la artista nos lleva a replantearnos nuestro sentir frente al arte y a reflexionar el valor que tiene en nuestras vidas.

Conscious Abstraction
The art of Lola Pico
Delving into the intangible is not an easy task. To abstract oneself, one first has to experiment with the matter to capture it with mastery and intention. Lola Picó corresponds in her canvases to a translation of feelings brought to the surface of her work.
Textures and palette that are on the solid foundation of feeling. Some elegant and subtly symbols are introduced in many of her pieces to speak to us even more of what is being translated from the soul.
On her work we can observe a constant evolution in her materials and palettes without neglecting her very particular accent.
Picó carries her artistic instinct developed by years of experience now with great results in her career with invitations to international performances.
The artist's plastic alchemistry leads us to reconsider our feelings towards art and to reflect on the value it has in our lives.
